RAYMOND JAMES INVESTMENT SERVICES APPOINTS HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

David Hazelton has recently been appointed as the new Head of Business Development for Raymond James Investment Services (RJIS), the UK private client investment management arm of Raymond James Financial. David is responsible for the development of the adviser base in the UK under RJIS’ three business models: Independent Contracting, Professional Partners and the Wrap Platform.

David was previously Assistant Director, Head of Financial Planning at Dexia Private Banking, and prior to that was Sales Director at Selestia, the fund supermarket subsidiary of Old Mutual. He has over 30 years experience in the financial services marketplace, and brings with him extensive experience of both the IFA and Wealth Management sectors.

David says of his joining RJIS, “I’m joining Raymond James at a great time. At the top end of the market there is a convergence of styles between the traditional investment managers and IFAs who are competing on the same ground for the same clients. We are in an excellent position to capitalise on this trend with the RJIS business model that is proven in the US and Canada and has been operating now in the UK for 5 years.
